All U of T Scarborough (UTSC) campus community members have an essential role to play in creating and promoting an inclusive, respectful and equitable campus community – this includes understanding the negative impacts of microaggressions. Advancing equity and inclusion at UTSC requires that we understand and recognize microaggressions, how they manifest in the workplace or classroom, and learn methods for addressing and reducing them.
In this 2-hour session, participants will:  Â
Explore the impact of microaggressions  Â
Understand how microaggressions may show up in your specific unit  Â
Self-reflect on individual behaviours that can be a barrier to building inclusive environments.
This event is hosted by the EDIO and facilitated by members of the EDIO team.
