Come on out to the UTSC 2025 Progress Pride Flag Raising!
UTSC is proud to raise the Progress Pride Flag for the month of June. This gesture honours the diversity, resilience, and importance of 2SLGBTQ+ communities on our campus and beyond. The Progress Pride flag serves as a symbol of diverse 2SLGBTQ+ communities. It is a visual reminder of the intersecting struggles and oppression that people in the community have faced and continue to face, but it is also a sign of resilience and joy. The widespread use of the Progress Pride flag signals an institutional commitment to creating a safer and welcoming campus for 2SLGBTQ+ UTSC community members.
Opening remarks will be shared by Principal Linda Johnston; Tim Tang, Dean of Student Experience & Wellbeing; and Monica Khoshaien, Chair of the Positive Space Committee at UTSC. The flags will be raised by Campus Safety. Registration is not required; all are welcome in this space.
