Queer Orientation Week Mix & Mingle 2022
The Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Office and the Positive Space Committee at U of T Scarborough invite 2SLGBTQ+ communities and allies to attend the Queer Orientation Week Mix & Mingle event!
When:Tuesday, Sept. 20, 3:00-4:30pm
Where:HW 305 (Humanities Wing, third floor)
Who:New and returning students, faculty, staff and librarians*
(*We welcome, in particular, those who identify as part of the 2SLGBTQ+ community. That being said, all allies are also welcome to attend. The purpose of this event is to connect, build community, and have fun!)
What:Â Snacks, activities, prizes, and an opportunity to learn about queer-friendly resources on campus
Why: make friends, develop connections, contribute to a sense of belonging and inclusion at the UTSC campus
About the event
This event is an opportunity to meet, mix and mingle with new and existing students, staff, faculty, and librarians. This is an 2SLGBTQ+ centered event and an opportunity for queer and trans community members to connect and build community. That being said, everyone is welcome (allies! Join us!). You will not be required to identify yourself. We just ask that all those registering to attend are respectful of the intent of this inclusive and welcoming space.
At this event you can expect tasty treats, icebreakers and opportunities to engage with fellow community members. In addition to this you will also be introduced to 2SLGBTQ+ friendly resources on campus. And yes… there will be games and prizes!
