National Day of Remembrance & Action on Violence Against Women
On Friday, December 6, 2024, the University of Toronto will join communities across Canada to honour the lives of the 14 women killed at Montreal’s École Polytechnique in 1989. Join us in-person at the St. George campus, or online via YouTube, for this annual memorial and reflection.
Join us in collective grief for all those lost to gender-based violence as we share a meal, remember those who were killed, and look towards a better future. This event will include a musical tribute, an awards presentation, a memorial led by the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering, and facilitated roundtable discussions with your colleagues, classmates, and friends.  Â
This event is organized by the Sexual Violence Prevention & Support Centre, the Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering, and the Hart House Team. We welcome all faculty, staff, students, and librarians to join us either at St. George campus, at UTSC, or online.
