Neurodivergent at Work

Join us over lunch for Neurodivergent at Work, the official launch of the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) Neurodivergent Faculty, Staff, and Librarian Peer Network.

Equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives have recently begun to recognize neurodiversity as a difference, not a disorder, and more individuals in the workplace are speaking out and seeking each other out. Join us over lunch for Neurodivergent at Work, the official launch of the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) Neurodivergent Faculty, Staff, and Librarian Peer Network, an initiative funded by the UTSC Mentoring Partnership Fund.

Special guest Wendy McGuire (MSW, RSW, PhD), owner of Scattergram Counselling and Consulting, will introduce the A.C.C.E.P.T. Framework, a model for understanding and promoting awareness and cross-neurotype communication. With this framework as a foundation, we will begin to envision what a neurodiversity-affirming workplace could be like, connect with neurodivergent peers and allies, and embrace the diversity of perceptions and brain-types in our community.

Comments and ideas about programs and activities for the peer network are welcome, and can be submitted through this anonymous survey. To receive information about upcoming programming, consider joining the mailing list. Inquiries can be directed to Professor Nancy Johnston, programme lead.
