Dreaming provides process and space to think beyond our material realities. However, for reasons beyond our control, some of our dreams get deferred. Sankofa reminds us to recover what we have left in the past (e.g., Karenga, 1995). This immersive experience is designed to create space to unpack, relax, restore, and dream. The event begins with a keynote address by Nicola M. Dove. Participants will then engage in interactive activities that will reignite past dreams and illuminate hopes for the future. These dream products will serve as a creative declaration of the dreams you will fulfill.

About the facilitator
Nicola M. Dove is an Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Anti-Racism practitioner who has worked in higher education for over a decade. Her interests include inclusion and belonging in higher education, and anti-oppressive and anti-racist pedagogies. She often leans on Black feminist ethics of care and Intersectionality to inform and enhance her work. Nicola is completing her doctorate in Education at York University.
